About DCWYBE Law:
Dworkin, Chambers, Williams, York, Benson & Evans, P.C., is a litigation firm based in Denver. Founded in 1991, the firm initially concentrated exclusively on workers' compensation defense. In 1995, the firm expanded its practice to include areas of law naturally related to workers' comp, including employment law, insurance defense, prosecution of subrogation matters, property and casualty defense, and commercial litigation.
Today we litigate in state and federal courts throughout Colorado and surrounding Rocky Mountain states, and we provide pre-litigation counsel to clients throughout the United States. The shareholders and associates in this firm have significant trial, hearing and arbitration experience. Our peers have rated us AV Preeminent,* the highest rating allowed under Martindale-Hubbell, and members of our firm have been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers and the National Law Journal's list of Top Litigators.
Our clients include numerous insurers and self-insured entities authorized to conduct business in Colorado. Many clients have been with us since the 1990s, inluding the following:
While we are zealous advocates for our clients, we pride ourselves on evaluating matters with an eye toward economics (weighing cost of defense against amicable resolution). We dedicate ourselves to a program of cost-efficient case management consistent with the highest levels of professionalism and vigorous advocacy. We strive to assign cases to attorneys who have experience in the specific area at issue to avoid unnecessary and expensive duplication of services. If necessary, we will refer to other attorneys in our office who have expertise in specific aspects of a claim. We rely upon the use of legal assistants and paralegals for appropriate tasks, including discovery and investigation, which results in significant cost savings for the client.
We communicate frequently with the Division of Workers' Compensation, Office of Administrative Courts, Colorado Insurance Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Colorado Civil Rights Division, and all state and federal courts in Colorado, and have earned their respect and cooperation. In summary, our goal is to represent our clients in the most effective and cost-efficient manner possible by drawing upon the knowledge and experience of our attorneys who have represented insurers in the workers' compensation, commercial litigation, and labor and employment arena over the years.
We keep our clients up to speed on current legislation and case law relevant to their operations. We maintain and continually update briefs and legal memoranda on a multitude of legal issues frequently encountered in workers' compensation, labor and employment law, construction defect law, as well as insurance defense, subrogation and coverage-related issues.
